So this morning I received a newsletter from the PBS show Echoes about the shows that will be on this week. I was excited when I saw that tomorrow John Diliberto will be interviewing one of my favorite guitarists, Jesse Cook about his new album  The Blue Guitar Sessions. Knowing that I will forget all about listening tomorrow night, I thought I better go listen to the album this afternoon. So I went over to MOG and put it on. Armik – Beautiful Flamenco Guitar….

  2015 Update: This afternoon I was listening to One World the new album from Jesse Cook. Listening brought, thoughts about the flamenco guitar of Armik. So I went to Spotify where I discovered that Armik has released a new album titled Romantic Spanish Guitar Vol. 2. Sound s good to me!  I first discovered the music of Armik back in 2010 and since then I occasionally listen to his awesome work! Into the Night with Gary Stroutsos and his Native American flute!

So this morning I needed to do some writing at work so out came some Native American flute music. It came from an artist that I have never heard before Gary Stroutsos and his 2011 release Inside Tutka Bay and I am a fan! Additionally I have a lot of catching up to do because his career started with Native American music in 1994 when he moved from Washington to North Dakota and includes a gazillion albums! Stroutsos started his musical career after being in awe of Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull while at Grand Valley State College in Allendale, Michigan….
