Cappadocia - Jeff Johnson and Phil Keaggy

Cappadocia – Jeff Johnson and Phil Keaggy Along with Timothy Wenzel’s Running Away, Cappadocia by Jeff Johnson and Phil Keaggy has been in my music rotation for several weeks now. Cappadocia is the third recording as a duo for Jeff Johnson and Phil Keagqy. The inspiration for the album is Cappadocia, a visually spectacular area in central Turkey. Run Away with Timothy Wenzel’s New Album – Running Away!

Running Away -Timothy Wenzel

Running Away – Timothy Wenzel Over the last few years, Timothy Wenzel has become one of my favorite New Age Artists. His music is perfect for meditation or my morning or evening yoga. It also just great to have on when I’m reading. The first of Timothy Wenzel’s albums that I listened to was Summon the Wind. You can read what I wrote a about that album here. Next came Distance Horseman,. For that album click here. Timothy’s  2017 was What We Hold Dear, and while I have listened to the album and enjoyed it, I have not written about it….

Meg Bowles – Evensong: Canticles for the Earth

Evensong - Meg Bowles

Meg Bowles – Evensong: Canticles for the Earth I discovered an album the other night, when I was moving some CDs around. When I first looked at it I thought -what’s this?  Oh it’s probably an advanced copy of a CD that I got to review. I guess I’ll give it a listen. But I bet it’s a vocal album that I really won’t like that much.(I have a tendency to not like new Age female (vocalists sorry ladies)  So I put it in the CD player and then smacked myself up the side of my head when what came…

New CDs From the Princeton Record Exchange – Yeah!

While we were raising four kids my wife and I rarely spent money on ourselves. So when it came time that two oldest boys started to buy CDs,  I was thrilled when we found Tunes Used CD store in Marlton,N.J. At the time they had bins and bins of  cheap used CDs. Thanks to the fact that my taste was slightly different than their typical clientele my CD collection skyrocketed. I found albums from a ton of Americana artists that I couldn’t find anywhere else, at prices I could afford!! Texas music artists like: Ray Wylie Hubbard, Jack Ingram and…

About Richard Noll’s Music Richard Noll is one of the few recording artists who plays primarily recorder and he is amazing! On Peaceful Being he plays both tenor and alto recorders. He also plays an electronic wind instrument, the EWI 4000s. But he doesn’t stop there. He also plays…

A Fine Morning Meditation, A Good Run, Then the Fall….

And I Don’t Mean the Season….. Morning Meditation Music Yesterday morning I started my day with a 30-minute meditation. The soundtrack for the meditation was Weightless (Ambient Transmissions Vol 2) from the Ambient New Age band Marconi Union. According to their website Marconi Union…. …… were asked to write a piece of relaxing music in consultation with Lyz Cooper, the UK’s leading sound therapist and founder of the British Academy of Sound Therapy. During the process of recording the track, a number of musical ideas captured their imagination. Unable to explore them all in a one piece but keen to work…

Flying Solo Silhouette by Ann Sweeten Soars!

An Alteration to My Morning Routine and Meditation Music From Ann Sweeten Over the last few non-work days I have altered my morning routine a little ,well maybe quite a bit. I have started to begin my morning with a 30 minute meditation. Followed by my morning exercise. Yesterday I  began with a nice quiet meditation. The soundtrack was the new solo piano album from Ann Sweeten Flying Solo Silhouette. Now I will admit that I do not know that much about Ms. Sweeten. I do know though that many times when I have the Spa station on Sirius XM radio…
